It’s connected to the Church of the Heavenly Rest, which makes for a beautiful setting. It’s a small café, so there was about a 10-minute wait for a table. My friend and I sat at a communal table with three other people. I ordered the iced mocha, my friend had the blueberry matcha, and we split the avocado toast. Everything was delicious! I especially appreciated that the avocado toast was fresh, with the perfect avocado-to-bread ratio…no soggy toast here, just crisp and easy to eat. Exactly as our food arrived, the hostess asked us to move to another table to accommodate a larger group. While the request was a bit abrupt, we didn’t mind once we settled into our new seats. The only other downside was the menu, which was a little hard to read because of the plastic cover. Overall, a beautiful café with great food and drinks, though it might not be ideal for remote work due to the limited space.

The banana, spinach, almond butter smoothie is divine. Staff are very kind and adding up with the location, it makes a must visit place when in the Upper East Side. Their filtered coffee taste really nice too. Altogether my husband and I visited the coffee shop 3x this week, after our central park morning runs. Loved it, recommend it and we’re going to miss this cozy coffee shop with delicious food.
